摘要
The quality of treated wastewater produced in five different Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) using three different technologies, Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS), Extended Aeration System and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) was evaluated. The CAS was the best; it had the highest general efficiency (EG) with a value of 96.6%. The STPs using EAS had maintenance problems. The MBR is relatively less efficient. In order to get treated wastewater of good quality, the standard of operation and maintenance are important; but the use of suitable technology to operate with optimum efficiency in a given environment is imperative. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
