摘要
We reported the regulation of macrophage polarization by iron oxide nanoparticles through conjugation with fluorescein and polyethylene glycol. When the modified nanoparticles were taken up by macrophages, the M2 phenotype was induced by upregulating anti-inflammatory markers such as CD163 and CD209, as well as associated transcripts such as IL10 and TGF-beta, potentially for use as an MR contrast agent with minimal pro-inflammatory stimulation.
