摘要
This work addressed concepts of concise parameters that can be quantified by means of measurement for qualifying the lightning response of tower-footing electrodes, namely the first return stroke impulse impedance ZP, the low frequency resistance RLF and the 25 kHz harmonic impedance Z25kHz. The significant difference among the values of these parameters for any given arrangement of electrodes buried in the same soil was highlighted, along with their use for estimating the expected lightning response of the transmission line (TL) tower. The difficulties for implementing the methodologies for measurement of RLF and Z25kHz were analyzed, and respective solutions were recommended. The overcoming of the challenge of determining reliable values of ZP from measured values of the two other parameters was addressed as well.
