Research on Safety Evaluation of Urban Rail Transit Operation

摘要
Urban rail transit (URT) systems play a vital role in the daily lives of residents. It is thus essential to deliver safe and reliable service to passengers in the URT network. This study proposes an effective URT operational safety evaluation method. Based on a detailed analysis of historical URT operational incidents, an evaluation index system is constructed to access URT operational safety, consisting of 4 primary-level indexes and 12 secondary-level indexes. The weights of indexes are obtained with the entropy weight method. Evaluation matrix based on the triangular fuzzy number is structured to quantify the safety level of URT operation. The proposed method is validated in a case study of Line 3 of the URT system in Qingdao, China. The results indicate that such a comprehensive evaluation method can be employed to track the operational safety of a URT system.
