A new library of diverse isoxazole contained 1,3-oxazole-1,3,4-oxadiazole heterocyclic hybrids have been synthesized (9a-j). The compounds were characterized by 1HNMR, 13CNMR & mass spectral data. Further, all derivatives were examined for their preliminary anticancer effects towards prostate cancer (PC3 and DU-145), lung cancer (A549) and breast cancer (MCF-7) human cancer cell lines by employing MTT method. The well-known clinical utilizing drug candidate as etoposide used as standard reference. All the tested compounds displayed moderate to good anticancer activity. Among them, four compounds 9a, 9b, 9c and 9 g possessed most promising activity than etoposide.
