摘要
The trachea experiences some mechanical loading during its physiological functioning when breathing in and out. It is reported that an understanding of its mechanical behaviour is essential in studying the biological function of the whole respiratory system. Therefore, we study the biaxial tensile properties of sheep tracheal tissue by fitting three different constitutive models namely the Choi-Vito, Holzapfel 2000, and Four-fiber family. The results show that the Choi-Vito and Holzapfel models perform very well especially along the longitudinal direction while the Four-fiber family performs better than in the circumferential direction.
