An Intuitive Evaluation Method of 1-Bit Reconfigurable Metasurface Element Based on Radiation Viewpoint

摘要
This paper introduces a radiation viewpoint to evaluate reconfigurable metasurface (RMS) elements. By converting a conventional viewpoint structure to a radiation antenna, this method allows for a quantitative evaluation of RMS elements. Employing this innovative viewpoint, the paper proposes a several evaluation curves on the Smith chart, which can evaluate the RMS performances quantitatively and intuitively. This viewpoint and evaluation method can significantly enhance the design efficiency of RMS elements.
