摘要
A circularly polarized metantenna with low radar cross-section characteristics is presented. A spindle-shaped microstrip patch, along with two "V"-shaped metal strips acts as both the antenna radiator and the unit cell of polarization conversion metasurface. The antenna elements can achieve both excellent radiation and scattering performance simultaneously when excited by the sequentially rotated feeding. Simulated results show that the band of vertical bar S-11 vertical bar < -10 dB for all ports covers from 8.5 to 9.7 GHz with a maximum gain of 12 dBi at 8.6 GHz. The design reduces the monostatic radar cross section by 10 dB from 7.1 to 9.3 GHz.
