摘要
This article presents a comprehensive analysis of battery lifetime in fast electric vehicle charging systems (FEVCSs) under diverse operational and environmental conditions. A sophisticated lifetime analysis framework, consisting of a battery performance model and a lifetime projection model, is developed to accurately represent the complex interactions between the battery, FEVCS, and surrounding environment on battery lifetime. The impact of various operational conditions on battery lifetime is thoroughly examined under different driving and charging schedules with and without rest periods and with advanced cooling systems. Different FEVCS application sites characterized by ambient temperature profiles are employed to understand the behavior of battery degradation under diverse environmental conditions. The usefulness of the proposed lifetime analysis framework is demonstrated through a case study of an 80 kW FEVCS, showing how the battery lifetime can be affected under fast charging and environmental conditions. The outcomes of this research emphasize the importance of accounting for both operational and environmental conditions, contributing to enhanced battery lifetime predictions.
