摘要
This paper investigates and analyzes the opportunities for fast charging infrastructure development in Latvia. The main goal of the study is to provide a concept for fast charging network development by identifying potential station locations and topological design, that is technically and economically effective for Latvian transport sector and power distribution boundary conditions, to make battery electric vehicles more attractive for users. The main focus of this study is to meet the charging profile requirements for commercial vehicle segment and urban public transport with battery-source electrified drivetrain, thus, covering the largest part of the greenhouse gas emission reduction potential in transport sector. Therefore, the potential charging station locations are identified in proximity of the largest Latvian cities public transport hubs with possibility of making high power connections to the local grid. Finally, the fast charging station topological solution is proposed for the identified locations, considering the power demands, grid parameters and further development potentials.
