PULSED AMPEROMETRIC DETECTION OF GLUCOSE USING A MEDIATED ENZYME ELECTRODE

Pulsed amperometric detection (PAD) was employed for the detection of glucose using a tetrathiafulvalene mediated enzyme electrode in flow analysis. The effect of various parameters is described and comparisons are made with the dc amperometric (dc) mode. The results show that the PAD mode gives a higher precision in long term flow injection analysis and is less susceptible to the flow rate. The linear range is the same although the current in the PAD mode is generally lower. The detection limits for the PAD and dc modes are 2.5 μM and 1.25 μM, respectively. © 1990.
