摘要
The community's perception of tourism is one of the key elements for achieving local development of tourism and tourist potential destinations, which must be considered in tourism projects focused on the participation of the local population destinations; while looking for the solution and prevention of certain problems, in addition to traditional economic benefits generated by this activity. In this paper the theoretical and methodological background of studies on community's perception regarding the importance of tourism as a linchpin for local development from the protection of their natural and cultural heritage, specifically San Pedro Tultepec in Mexico. In the research work on this subject is enriching the characteristics detection of the host community to be investigated, as elements of community's perception that contribute to future tourism research are provided.
