SYNTHESIS OF 1,3,5-TRIAMINO-2,4,6-TRIPHENYLBENZENE AND ITS REACTION WITH PICRYL HALIDES

摘要
',4',6'-Trinitro-5'-phenyl-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl (5) was synthesized by Ullmann reaction of 1,3,5-trichloro-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (3) with iodobenzene and copper powder in the presence of NN-dimethylformamide. Reduction of 5 with tin/tin(II) chloride in a mixture of hydrochloric and acetic acid yields 2',4',6'-triamino-5'-phenyl-1,1':3',1''-terphenyl (6). By reaction of this symmetric benzenetriamine with picryl chloride and fluoride in different media, but utmost two of the three amino groups were converted into picrylamide groups to 7 and 8.
