摘要
Technology capabilities in terms of chip complexity have been increasing tremendously these past 20 years and continue to increase allowing a full system to be integrated on a single chip. The bottleneck is moved on Design Automation and library availability to perform Very complex designs, often including mixed analog, digital or non Volatile functionalities. In this paper we will review the technology capabilities evolution, the design automation trends and the cost of this evolution.
