The moral and ethical reasoning in secondary education students based on socio-scientific issues

摘要
This article analyzes the approach to socio-scientific issues in science classes in terms of their contributions to the ethical and moral reasoning of students in secondary education. The analysis is based on the debates regarding the legalization of the personal drug dose as a controversial issue in Colombian society, taking into account the environmental, social, economic, and political implications of drug addiction. The analysis also underpins the discussion on socio-scientific issues as an educational strategy to generate a critical and responsible position of students in the search for alternative solutions to the proposed situation and the promotion of citizen participation.
