Peace Justice in Police Stations. Sums and Subtracts of the System

After Fujimori's decade, a series of substantial changes took place within Peruvian Public Office institutions. The case of the Ministry of Interior, which includes reform undertaken in Peru National Police as well as in the Judiciary Branch, is noteworthy. Within the measures addressed to improve social coexistence and security policies, the offense procedure was modified and a project on Justices of the Peace within Police Stations was established. This paper presents the case of Courts of the Justice of the Peace within Police Stations, aiming to evaluate the rights and wrongs of its instauration. I will briefly review the context and the very procedure of its creation. In the final part, I will propose some recommendations.
