THERMODYNAMIC STABILITY AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MIXED ESTERS OF CELLULOSE

摘要
A comparative thermodynamic and structural study has been carried out of mixtures of cyanoethylcellulose with acyl derivatives of cellulose - triacetate, diacetate, and acetobutyrate - in a common solvent. The concentration dependence of the Gibbs free energy of polymer-polymer mixing, and the interaction parameters for polymer-solvent and polymer-polymer over a wide composition range were used as criteria for thermodynamic compatibility. The ranges of mutual solubility of the components have been determined.
