INTERACTION OF TETRABUTOXYTITANIUM WITH COMPONENTS OF THE REACTION SYSTEM OF PROCESSES OF ESTERIFICATION AND TRANSESTERIFICATION

摘要
The reaction mixtures formed in the interaction of the catalyst Ti(OBu)4 with the starting materials of the reactions of esterification and transesterification were investigated by the NMR method. It was shown that even at room temperature the catalyst interacts with alcohols, acids, glycols, and esters. In the reaction of transesterification, the alcohol residue bonded to the Ti atom is more active than the free glycol, while in the esterification reaction, the amphoteric titanium base is more active than the alcohol.
