LEXICAL VARIATION AND ENGLISH TEACHING

As languages are from a heterogeneous nature and are subjected to different kinds of influences, it is verified the necessity of the English learners have knowledge of the existence of variation in the language which they have been learning. The importance of it consists of allowing speakers of a certain language keep an intelligible and comprehensible communication with speakers of the same language. This article aims to discuss and demonstrate the relevance of approaching lexical variation in English teaching field due to most of the teachers and language instructors do not give the proper attention to linguistic phenomena teaching.
