摘要
Manganese powder reacts quantitatively with trifluoroacetic acid to yield Mn(O2CCF3)2 (1). The aggregation of 1 is directed by different N-containing bases. Pyridine (py) forms the mononuclear complex [Mn(O2CCF3)2(py)4] (2), while benzonitrile (benz) yields the trinuclear complex [Mn3(O2CCF3)6(benz)6] (3). The X-ray structures of 2 and 3 are described.
