摘要
The objectives of this study were to: (i) determine the ratings of journals relevant to pharmacy administration as perceived by faculty within the discipline; (ii) categorize the journals into distinct tiers; and (iii) assess the differences in journal ratings according to faculty members' research interests. Questionnaires were mailed to 99 pharmacy administration faculty members in schools of pharmacy with active graduate programs in the discipline; 70 questionnaires were returned. On a seven-point scale, respondents rated the achievement of a pharmacy administration faculty member who published in each of 47 journals. They also provided demographic data, including primary and secondary research interests. The journals were ranked based on mean ratings and categorized into distinct tiers based on the similarities of ratings among journals. Both differences and similarities were observed when journal ratings were compared across research interest areas. The results may assist efforts to rationally evaluate faculty publication records.
