摘要
We have applied a superparamagnetic iron oxide formulation (AMI‐25, Advanced Magnetics, Inc., Cambridge, MA) to image the cerebral vasculature. Contrast‐enhanced images of normal anesthetized rats demonstrated excellent gray/white matter differentiation, consistent with known differences in blood perfusion, and cerebrospinal fluid spaces were clearly seen. Alterations in normal perfusion patterns due to barbiturate anesthesia and ischemia were clearly visible. We propose the use of this agent as an adjunct to MRI for the imaging of conditions with perfusion abnormalities. © 1990 Academic Press, Inc. Copyright © 1990 Wiley‐Liss, Inc., A Wiley Company
