P-D INTERACTION IN AIIBVI DILUTED MAGNETIC SEMICONDUCTORS

摘要
The p-d hybridization in the crystal field has been examined in order to determine the spin-dependent interaction of GAMMA-8 band electrons with paramagnetic impurities in zinc-blend type semiconductors. We show that the interaction is described by the Heisenberg Hamiltonian only for impurities with the total orbital angular momentum L = 0 (Mn2+, Fe3+). Additional terms for Fe2+ and Cr2+ (L = 2) are presented.
