摘要
Mechanical action was found to induce the formation of anisotropic structures in aqueous poly(vinyl alcohol) solutions at room temperature, for solutions with polymer concentration less than 5 wt %, and at 60-70 degrees C, for solutions with the concentration from 5 to 10 wt %. The observed effect was attributed to the deterioration of the network of hydrogen bonds and a concomitant increase in molecular mobility in the region of relaxation transition.
