摘要
A description and test results are provided for a pulsed x-ray source for gas preionization in wide-aperture gas-discharge lasers. The low impedance of the circuit (0.5 OMEGA) allows high-current vacuum-diode conditions to be realized when the mismatch between the diode and the supply circuit is considerable. The source ensures electron generation with a concentration of 10(9) cm-3 in air at a distance of 20 cm in 10(-7) sec.
