摘要：
The paper presents the status of dental caries in the Republic of Slovenia and in Yugoslavia, and compares it with the status in other European countries. In 1990, Yugoslavia had the second highest caries prevalence in Europe. The authors describe the current preventive measures used in this country and suggest strategies to improve the present state.
