摘要
A search for the neutrinoless double-beta decay of Gd-160 was carried out for the first time using a large (353 cm(3)) Gd2SiO5:Ce scintillating crystal as an active source-detector. The obtained lower limit of the half-life (T1/2(0 nu)) was 3.0 x 10(20) y (68% CL). Possible improvements in the future are also discussed.
