摘要：

An outline of two air conditioning projects, aiming at energy conservation is described. One is a solar heating and cooling system adopted in an existing telephone exchange building with 746 m**2 total floor area. This system uses a solar collector with 290 m**2 and an absorption water chilling unit for cooling operation. It is now being operated successfully providing much useful data. Another project is an air conditioning system at Hiroshima second toll telephone exchange building, which has 18,367 m**2 total floor area. A real-time control system with minicomputer was adopted to realize optimal operation to save energy and preserve adequate room air condition. Newly developed control programs for outdoor air cooling and for water chilling are involved.
