摘要
One of the basic issues when considering religious further education is: Which need motivates adults for further religious education? The investigation that has been carried out has shown that the need for competence, autonomy and fellowship influences the intrinsic motivation of adults for further religious education. Intrinsic motivation drives them to acquire new religious knowledge and to enrich their lives. Members of bible groups obtain new knowledge, which enables them to answer questions connected with everyday life. Prayer, reading and exegesis of Scripture offer them personal growth. The approach to the Scripture is facilitated by trained bible group leaders. When organizing groups, it should be considered that the interpretation of the Gospel and the life experience of individual members of bible groups represent an encouragement to follow Christ in daily life.
