MEASUREMENT OF Z'-COUPLINGS AT FUTURE HADRON COLLIDERS THROUGH DECAYS TO TAU-LEPTONS

摘要
The leptonic couplings of a Z' can be determined in a hadron collider by measuring the polarization of tau-leptons produced by its decay. This polarization can be measured despite the unobserved neutrinos produced in tau-decay. The information obtained is complementary to that given by the forward-backward asymmetry and can be used to determine the character of the Z'. We discuss the background to this process, the expected uncertainty of the measurement, and the implied detector requirements.
