摘要
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infectious disease that is categorized as a serious public health problem especially for tropical and sub-tropical countries in the world including Indonesia. The increased in the number of dengue cases can be reduced and prevented. One of the ways is through the statistical modelling of disease mapping approach. The objective of this paper isto estimate the risk and subsequently propose a disease risk map. Unfortunately, in materializing that purpose, specifically for a city like Bandung, Indonesia, the main problem is getting the weekly data from all districts. In this paper, the existing data will be elaborated more detail. The relative risk in this area will be estimated using SMR method. From the result obtained, SMR method can be applied to estimate the relative risk of dengue in Bandung municipality, Indonesia. Based on some references, previous researches and the result that obtained, it can be concluded that SMR method has some drawbacks. Since there are some difficulties to get the necessary complete data and parameters, therefore in this paper, this method will be applied as the preliminary observation.
