摘要
The extensive collection and evaluation of data is necessary for the effective examination and health management of fattening pig herds. In large herds the recording of health data is facilitated by the subdivision into three parts. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations of health are necessary. The usual performance data can be supplemented by recording the percentage of lean meat and of pigs fattened per year and the use of medicaments. The evaluation of all such data facilitates the early recognition of the effects of subclinical disease.
