摘要：
Classification of alluvial soils based on analysis of the horizons that compose the soil profile is presented. The major soil processes typical of floodplain soils of the boreal zone and their respective diagnostic horizons are described. Profile formulae and short descriptions of eleven types of alluvial soils are presented.
