摘要
Chronic occlusions of branches of the aortic arch, in particular of the brachiocephalic trunk are rare but can lead to ischemic symptoms of the upper extremities and stroke. However, in patients with neurological symptoms revascularization is necessary. This article reports the case of a patient suffering from a transient ischemic attack (TIA) caused by carotid steal syndrome who ultimately underwent a retropharyngeal carotid-carotid cross-over bypass.
