摘要
This articles analyzes the development agenda and political process in Ecuador under the administration of left-wing President Rafael Correa (2007-2010). The analysis is divided into three parts. The first section of the article describes the way in which the State has gone about recuperating a relative degree of autonomy. The article then moves on to look at the nature of the post neoliberal strategy adopted by the government and analyzes some of its most notable accomplishments. The latter part of the article reflects upon the ambivalence of a political rationale that is, on the one hand grounded in the strength of its decision-making capacity, and on the other hand, hampered by the difficulty it has encountered in forging fluid political relations with its citizens and other organized groups in society.
