FEMTOSECOND-PICOSECOND LASER PHOTOLYSIS STUDIES ON PHOTOINDUCED CHARGE-TRANSFER AND ELECTRON EJECTION DYNAMICS

摘要
Fundamental aspects of photoinduced charge separation (CS) and related phenomena have been summarized on the basis of the femtosecond picosecond laser photolysis studies on various donor acceptor systems. A specific CS process in the excited hydrogen bonding system taking place in nonpolar media has been directly demonstrated by femtosecond spectroscopy. Another specific CS due to slow electron ejection from relaxed S1 state in acetonitrile, a large enhancement of CS rate by excess vibrational energy as well as by use of solvent with a slightly larger electron affinity have been demonstrated.
