摘要：
Information technology is being used to assist decision makers in a variety of fields. In this paper, the use of information technology is assessed. The potential applications of using this new technology for environmental management are reviewed and the unresolved problems associated with environmental applications discussed. It is argued that major technical and ethical problems still need to be resolved before the full potential of information technology for environmental management can be realised. © 1990.
