摘要
The dynamics and stability of the Flux Line Lattice to thermal vibration in High T(c) and conventional superconductors is evaluated. As temperature or magnetic field is increased, the FLL eventually becomes unstable to vibration. This instability provides an upper limit to FLL melting. We find that the Lindemann ratio varies greatly (by a factor of 100) from material to material and is not a constant at melting.
