摘要
The energetic relaxation ("spectral diffusion") of excitations in a hopping system with built-in intrinsic energetic disorder is treated analytically employing a master equation approach. The one-dimensional version of the results is compared with both computer simulation and fluorescence studies on matrix-isolated polysilylenes. Very good agreement is found.
