摘要
In this study, a total of 1161 anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus, L., 1758), specimens collected from the purse-seine boats operating in Izmir Bay during the period from the January 1997-December 1997 were investigated. The fork length and the total weight of both sexes varied from 6.2-14.0 cm and from 1.46-22.47 g, respectively. Female: male ratio was 1: 0.33 and maximum age group was determined as III. Most specimens belonged to age group I. The von Bertalanffy's growth equations in length and weight were L-t=14.93(1-e(-0.628(t-0.710))) and W-t=26.17(1-e(-0.628(t-0.710)))(3.130) for all specimens. Length-weight relationship equation were estimated as W=0.0057*L-3.130. Condition factors were determined between 0.449 and 0.839 for females, from 0.550-0.864 for males.
