摘要
In the metal cutting process, shearing and friction coefficients are in direct relationship with the metal cutting forces. The relationships display a noticeable reduction of cutting forces coupled with increasing cutting speed for ductile materials only. Necessary and actual shearing separate rapidly from each other as the cutting speed increases. This means that breakage due to embrittlement as the cutting speed increases during machining is impossible.
