摘要
One of the major topics in the field-of-light sources is the development of visible light-emitting devices for application to displays, high-density optical disks, bar-code readers and transmitters in plastic optical fibers. Shorter wavelength operation of light sources is advantageous for obtaining small focused spots and highly luminous light sources for human vision. In this article, we review the feasibility of growth and characterization of visible-light-emitting diodes using a new material or heterostructure grown by liquid-phase epitaxy.
