This contribution introduce us into the huge potential that human beings can use in order to overcome difficulties that sometimes seems their own bounds. Under apparently insuperable circumstances, resilient people can re-emerge from adversity, cope with it and even win a more advantageous position. The individual characteristics, the familiar background and, overall, the assistance of a resilient adult or tutor make possible to build man's our own existence, overcoming the past and looking ahead. The resilience grows in the person when we work on the keystones in which it is based: affective bond, self-esteem, self-control, optimism and "will of meaning". Some examples show that it is possible and necessary develop this competence. Moreover, the text suggests that social educators should assimilate this concept and help the people who educate to do the same. These people are usually under complex and threatening exclusion situations.
