摘要
Possible formation processes of hot particles (HP) during the Chernobyl NPP accident are examined. The radionuclidic content in 1200 HP collected from soils in 1987-1989 has been analyzed by gamma-spectrometry and radiochemistry. Ratios between fuel HP sizes and Ce-144 and Pu-239+240 activities in them have been obtained. The extent nuclear fuel burn-up in HP is estimated (sample mean 7-9 MW-day/kg) to be less than that calculated for the fourth block at the time of the accident. A database "Chernobyl Hot Particles" is compiled on an IBM PC.
