摘要：
A decision support system for process planning (DSSPP) has been designed, developed and implemented. The need to introduce decision support system for process planning arises specifically to solve the poorly structured stages in process planning like generation of operations, editing the list of operations generated, selection of machine tools and cutting tools, etc. The DSSPP model is capable of handling machining operations like turning, drilling, reaming, boring, thread cutting, taper turning, facing, planning, slotting, face milling and end milling. Apart from these operations, other new operations can also be included and analyzed. DSSPP is implemented on IBM-compatible PC-XT and programs are written in Basic. The model is capable of efficiently generating the plans for different types of parts. © 1990.
