The Meanings of Maria Zambrano's Exile

Maria Zambrano developed throughout her work a critical revision of western reason, going as far as to propose the inclusion of "reason in any of its forms". This is the main hypothesis I am posing here, and in pursuing it I have focused on the changing meaning, ever more nuanced, that Zambrano gives to the words exilio and exiliado. I have examined, in chronological order, five texts that span approximately forty years: Delirio y destino (1952), " La carta sobre el exilio" (1961), La tumba de Antigona (1967), " Amo mi exilio" (1989) and Los bienaventurados (1990).
