COPRECIPITATION OF STRONTIUM WITH INDIVIDUAL AND MIXED HYDROXIDES OF SEVERAL METALS

摘要
Several features were found by radioactive indicators for the coprecipitation of strontium with a large number of metal hydroxides under similar conditions. Strontium was shown not to be precipitated with hydroxides of cadmium, zinc, magnesium, lead, tellurium(IV), aluminum, and bismuth at all studied pH ranges. The value of strontium coprecipitation with other hydroxides was found to increase with increasing ionic potential of the corresponding metals in the following order: La < Y < Co < Ni < In < Zr < Fe < Sn(IV) < Ti < Sb(V) 3.66 4.69 5.83 6.18 6.24 6.63 8.45 8.73 8.77 11.41 Acid-base interaction between the sorbate and sorbent was shown to lie at the basis of sorption of small quantities of the elements by metal hydroxides.
