摘要：

This article considers the sources and formation of social work in Kazakhstan. Features of social protection of population during the historical periods of Kazakhstan's development are revealed. A great value is given to the issues of social protection of population, practice of social work organization in modern conditions. The article highlights the stages of formation related to the system of social protection of the population in Kazakhstan, and to the structure of managing the system of social protection of population at the present stage. The authors present the system of social welfare of population in the Republic of Kazakhstan and issues of social workers training. Besides, the article defines the prospects of social work development in the Republic of Kazakhstan taking into account integration into the world community.
