摘要
The present article has two objectives. First, to analyze the influence of the degree of internationalization on business results, and second, to contrast the above proposals to provide empirical evidence on the matter, beginning with a sample of Spanish industrial firms. Thus, the source of information used is the database of Survey on Business Strategies (known by its Spanish acronym ESEE) for the period 2000-2008. By applying descriptive analysis is was discovered that the most profitable foreign market entry mode is by exporting through specialized intermediaries. At the same time, a U-shaped relation between the degree of internationalization of the firm and the business results was observed through a quadratic model.
