摘要
Extrinsic dislocations are the non-equilibrium linear defects of grain boundaries; their role in the grain boudary properties is somewhat similar to that of dislocations in crystal properties. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the grain boundary purity on the occurrence and the accommodation of extrinsic dislocations in iron. Phosphorus is more able than carbon to enhance the extrinsic dislocation stability. Furthermore, while carbon seems to affect all grain boundaries alike, the phosphorus influence depends on the grain boundary structure. © 1990.
